Authentic Disability Community
Centered in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul, L’Arche Twin Cities is made up of Core Members with intellectual/developmental disabilities, Assistants offering formal and informal supports, and broader community friends of all types.
Our home base is the historic Griggs Midway Building (right off the Fairview green line station). It’s shared with the self-advocacy organization Advocating Change Together and was formerly a candy factory!
We gather the first Saturday morning of every month for coffee and camaraderie, then deepen and extend these connections through partnership with diverse communities and events (see the calendar on our social media or mailing list for what’s on the docket this month).

Different from a typical disability services organization, this model builds connection across a wide variety of communities, empowers self-advocates and caregivers with extra funding and mutual support, and offers a unique “third space” where participants can be their authentic selves. It’s even helping L’Arche envision what living out its core values looks like on a national level!
Attend an event, learn more about joining our cohort, subscribe to our monthly mailings, and/or donate to become a part of our movement for radical inclusion today. L’Arche Twin Cities is a fun-loving diverse group of people who would love to welcome you to our community!
